Milan, March 5th-6th 2018
On behalf of the European Society of Pathology Working Group (ESUP) the KIDNEY TUTORIAL COURSE – THE CHALLENGING ERA OF IMMUNOTHERAPY will focus on the most updated findings in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney cancer. The new entities reported in WHO Classification of Genitourinary Tumors will be treated. New criteria about the tumor grade according the guidelines of The International Society of Uropathology [ISUP] will be provided. The course offers the opportunity to define the pathological criteria for a correct diagnosis, highlighting the molecular biology approach useful to differentiate renal tumors carrying translocations, mutations or gene deficiencies. The emerging role of renal biopsy will be considered with the contribution of urologists and oncologists. During the second day of the course, experts in immunology will present the background of immunotherapy in genitourinary tumors. Finally, emblematic cases will be discussed in the Slide seminar.
